John McArdle
John grew up in Oscoda MI but moved soon after graduation to Metro Detroit and immediately began
his entrepreneurial journey. At the ripe age of 19 John became owner of a local restaurant in Plymouth,
Michigan. John, soon after added locations in Canton and Ann Arbor. There was still something missing…
John went to a local college library and looked for a career path that blended his love of people and
business… Becoming a Realtor was the answer! Fast forward 31 years, John has loved every minute of
being part of the Realtor Family. John has owned Remerica Hometown One for over 25 years and with his
partners, has created an amazing, successful relationship with their Realtors and Community. John has
served as Local Association President, Michigan Realtor Director, National Assoc. of Realtors Director for
20+ years, GMAR Director, Michigan Realtors Public Policy Committee for over 17 years, served or was chair
of numerous State and National Realtor Committees, Local Association Realtor of the Year (Twice), Michigan
Realtor Active in Politics Award recipient, and has been an FPC for Congressman Trott (Dist. 11) John is
married 30 years to his amazing wife, Merrill. They have 3 kids, Zack 25, Taylor 23 and Sammy 18. Time with
family, friends, outdoor activities/sports, Oscoda Cabin life and celebrating daily blessings occupy John’s
time outside of work.
