Tony Schippa

I became a Realtor® in December of 2000. Early on in my career, I made the decision to play an active role in my local association. That involvement really opened my eyes to what an integral role our association plays in our business and our economy. I understand that our association is an advocacy association. We must first strengthen our industry while bringing solid education and tools of the trade to our members.

I started at the ground floor serving on the Greater Metropolitan Association of Realtors®. I was part of Members Service Committee and Special Activities Committee 2002-2004, Chair of the Committee 2005, Grievance Committee from 2004-2009, and GMAR RPAC Committee 2008-2011.

I was RPAC chair from 2008-2010. I was honored to be the President of Greater Metropolitan Association of Realtors® in 2012. I have engaged the Michigan Realtors® by serving on The Convention Task Force 2013 and 2014 and the National Association of Realtors® Board of Directors 2009-2012, National Association of Realtors® Finance Committee 2009-2011, the National Association of Realtors® Diversity committee 2013- 2016, National Association of Realtors® Convention and Meeting Committee. Additionally, I served as National Association of Realtors® 2018 Vice Chair RPAC fundraising forum, National Association of Realtors® 2018 RPAC Trustees Fundraising Committee, and the 2019 Michigan Realtors® RPAC Committee. In addition, I have been honored Realtor Active in Politics 2010 by my local association and Realtor® of the year 2011.

I am a man of tradition as exemplified by following in my grandfather’s footsteps. He was also a Realtor® and understood the importance of “giving back”. I am fortunate to have a wonderful wife, Denise and son Sergei who have been very supportive of me as I serve our membership and I hope to continue in that servicing by earning your vote for Michigan Realtors® District 11 representative.
