AE's Find Winning Combination in Reno

The annual national AE Institute was recently held in Reno. Many local Michigan AE’s attended the event, which included educational opportunities as well as networking and recognition. The event drew over 1,300 attendees to take advantage of the nationally recognized speakers.

A new AE Strategic Report was issued during the AE Forum by facilitator Jerry Matthews. The report outlines trends in the industry and is available at REALTOR.org. Pat Reilly of the New York State Association presented recommendations from the Professional Standards/MLS Joint Work Group addressing Internet issues and the Code of Ethics. As a result a series of recommendations will be made ranging from changes to the Code of Ethics & Standards of Practice, to new case studies/interpretations, to white papers, new publications to education, and more.

Our very own Bill Martin participated in a panel presentation that discussed how to make social business gatherings productive and strengthen relationships with leaders and advocates.

Tom Stevens, NAR president, spent all five days at the AE Institute and participated in the AEI programming. He encouraged AE’s to help pass the small business health plan legislation in Congress and to get 30,000 members to the NAR Annual Conference & Expo in New Orleans in November.

Thank you to all the AEs who made sure Michigan was adequately represented!
