MiCREA is excited to offer an appraisal track at this year’s Convention and Expo in Grand Rapids on September 25 – 27. This track was especially created to give appraiser members and real estate professionals seeking more knowledge an edge in the appraiser arena. This year’s track will feature the following courses, Real Estate Appraisal and Mortgage Fraud, 2008 Appraiser Criteria and new draft and an appraisal law course. Carole Bullion, owner and president of Classic Title Agency will teach the Real Estate Appraisal and Mortgage Fraud course. She has over 20 years of experience in the real estate/title insurance industry. Rick Baumgardner will be presenting an overview of the Appraisal Qualifications Board’s new qualifications criteria, scheduled to take effect in 2008. The presentation will help you understand the new qualification criteria and identify how the new qualification criteria will affect appraisal business. You will also hear how to implement new qualification criteria, where applicable. Attendees will have a head start in planning and preparing for these changes. If you have never attended an MAR Convention you qualify for a special discount that expires on September 8, 2006. Make sure to log onto the MAR Web site and register for the Convention today to ensure your spot at Michigan’s largest real estate event. NAR Appraisal would like to know more about how you, the Appraiser member, conduct your business, obtain appraisal industry information and make decisions on your appraisal education and designations. Please take this opportunity and spend a few minutes answering some questions about you, the REALTOR® Appraiser member! MiCREA members should register with their specialty on the Michigan Living Network. This search engine, which is linked off of the MiCREA Web site, is the consumer search engine used to find members by location. The search function that allows consumers to search by specialty was made available to MiCREA last spring, and allows those with specialties to be more easily marketed in their communities and more easily found by clients. |
