With more than 1,500 members, MiCAR, the Michigan Commercial Alliance of REALTORS®, is the commercial division of the Michigan Association of REALTORS® (MAR). The services and value MiCAR provides to its members complement in numerous ways the services provided to members by their local associations.

Any REALTOR® in Michigan who practices commercial real estate transactions or who is interested in commercial real estate is automatically a member of MiCAR. No separate dues or membership application are required. Members of CBOR, CAR and other commercial associations are all members of MiCAR, as are members who self-identify or who are identified by their local associations.

Just as MAR provides services to residential REALTORS, MAR also offers specialized services to commercial REALTORS® through MiCAR as MAR’s commercial division.

MiCAR exists to be the first place consumers and REALTORS® come to find resources and information about the commercial real estate industry in Michigan. MiCAR offers numerous member benefits.

Perhaps most importantly, MiCAR, through the resources of MAR, is the leading advocate for the interests of commercial REALTORS® in the public policy arena. Fighting for the rights and interests of the commercial real estate industry on issues such as tax restructuring, commercial lien legislation, vacancy obsolescence, and eminent domain, MiCAR serves commercial practitioners by ensuring that favorable legislation protects private property rights.
