Shelley Schoenherr


Shelley Schoenherr, GRI, CRS is resident of Fair Haven and an Associate Broker with Advantage Realty in Chesterfield Township. She obtained her license and has been a Realtor® since 1976, and obtained a Broker’s license 1980.   

In Shelley’s pursuit of excellence she has completed numerous courses including GRI, Real Estate Practitioner’s Law, CRS, ABR, Careers in Commercial Property Real Estate, Professional Assistant Trainer’s Course, Management Courses, Leadership workshops and multiple marketing and prospecting courses. Her love for education has expanded to being an Author and approved instructor for GRI, Code of Ethics, Continuing Education, Brokers and Pre-license courses.

Shelley has been involved in many committees for her local Associations; she currently serves on; Political Affairs since 1985 which she chaired in 2006- 2007, 2010- 2011, RPAC which she chaired in 1998- 1999 & 2012, and Professional Standards. She has served on the Education Committee, Grievance, and Fair Housing committees. She served as a Director in 1996 and again from 2007 through 2015. As director, she worked through 2 mergers of the local Associations. 

Shelley served as a committee member on the Michigan Realtors® Public Policy Committee from 2011 to 2015 and attends the Michigan Realtors® annual conventions each year. She will be a major RPAC Investor this year.

Shelley served as the Federal Political Coordinator for the Honorable Congresswoman Candice Miller. She has attended Mid-year meeting in Washington D.C. since 2006, because she believes Political involvement is very important to our profession.

Shelley’s career has been spent in the pursuit of protecting private property rights through the political process. She has interviewed numerous candidates for various political offices along with helping set up a number of opportunities for fellow Realtors® to meet and greet their local politicians.

In 2010 Shelley received the Community Service award and the Realtor® Action in Politics from her local Association.

Outside of serving her profession, Shelley has worked on several Habitat for Humanity projects and served as co-chair of property acquisitions for Macomb County, and been active in fund raising for the Arthritis foundation, Easter Seals, the Chesterfield Seniors, Rails to Trails and Howard’s Friend Bike Ride.

In her “free” time she enjoys biking, running, water activities, the three “darling” daughters and a house full of grandkids!

She would love to serve a second term and welcomes the opportunity to continue to serve her fellow Realtors®!!
