Reggie Fluker
I am the current district 13 Director, and the Chairman of the Government Affairs Committee of Greater Metropolitan Association of Realtors® (GMAR.) In both capacities, I work hard to protect property rights, property ownership, and the Realtor® professional industry. I also work to encourage greater professionalism, competency, and ethical/fair practice within the real estate profession as Principal Associate Broker & manager of AMAZING! Real Estate Solutions, a division of Aaron Associates Incorporated.
First licensed as a real estate salesperson in 1981, and as a broker since 1988, I have been a Realtor® for over 23 years, selling and managing single and multiple-unit dwellings and apartments throughout southeast Michigan. I spent my first seven licensed years as a legal assistant for a metro-Detroit real estate attorney/broker, which afforded me unique skills, expertise, and perspective of our industry that has enabled me to assist many other Realtors over the past 29 years.
After becoming an independent broker, I was recruited by senior management of a major bank to originate mortgage loans in an effort to help resolve the bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) shortcomings. Later I was retained by a national commercial loan servicer to perform annual collateral inspections of commercial buildings up to 200,000 s.f., performed HUD-HQS/REAC inspections for large housing developments, and performed FEMA inspections in devastated out-of-state areas. Another major assignment was as a mayoral appointment with the Detroit Housing Commission, during which time I helped turnaround several high-rise apartment complexes, administered the agency’s homeownership programs, and managed a $194 million HUD HOPE VI community revitalization program, that included infrastructure reconstruction, new multi-unit buildings construction, and major rehabilitation of existing buildings on a 43 acre site.
Since 2005, as an adjunct instructor with Michigan Institute of Real Estate in Southfield, I have shared my knowledge and experiences with thousands of prospective licensees and licensees by providing salesperson and broker pre-license instruction and continuing education. Academically, I hold a Bachelor degree in corporate finance, an MBA degree in taxation/accounting, and a Certificate in Economic Development, all from Wayne State University, and also hold the following Realtor® designations/certifications: ABR, SFR, SRES, and BPOR.
