Michigan Realtors® committees are members who volunteer their time and expertise to help strengthen our association's events, services and initiatives. Each committee is listed below with our staff point person(s) and the committee description.

Broker Summit Task Force

The Broker Summit is a one day event that brings together elite brokers and Realtors® from around the state to address current real estate and market trends. 

Convention & Expo Task Force

This committee is responsible for creating an event that will address key industry issues providing an atmosphere where Realtors® will enhance selling skills and continue their education in an atmosphere of new and exciting networking opportunities.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee shall ensure that Association financial resources are properly allocated through preparation of annual budgets to support the Association’s operating plan and review annual financial reviews or audits performed by independent auditors.

Legal Action Committee

Promote among the member Local Associations of Michigan Realtors® an understanding of their rights and duties under the law and to enhance the professional standing of the Realtor®.

Michigan Realtors® Scholarship Trustees

The Michigan Realtors® Scholarship Trust administers two scholarship programs, Russel A. Pointer and the Barney Harkins Scholarship and Educational Fund. Scholarships are awarded annually to undergraduate students whose academic major is related to real estate.

MiCREA Committee

The Michigan Council of Real Estate Appraisers (MiCREA), through our resources, represents all licensed real estate appraisers who are members. MiCREA strives to be the leading advocate for the interests of Michigan appraisers in the national and local political arenas, protecting the rights and interests of the appraisal and real estate industries.

Pension Trustees

This committee provides oversight of the association employee retirement program.


Personnel Committee

This committee shall assure the Association’s personnel policies are current, ensure employee evaluations are completed, and conduct a formal performance evaluation for the Chief Executive Officer, annually.

Professional Standards Committee
Code of ethics and standards of practice for membership.

Public Policy Committee

This committee is responsible for reviewing current political issues, legislative bills and making decisions to support or oppose on behalf of the Realtor® membership.

RPAC Trustees

The goal of the Trustees is to drive an effective Realtors® Political Action Committee with emphasis on increasing member participation and major contributors.

YPN Michigan Network Committee

CIPS Members
CIPS designees are individuals who have both hands-on experience in international real estate transactions, as well as successfully completed an intensive seven-day program of study focusing on critical aspects of transnational transactions, including currency and exchange rate issues and cross-cultural relationships, regional market conditions, investment performance, tax issues and more.
